Air Force

For the past few weeks I have been writing a report I picked the topic air force I really enjoyed writing about this. I have written the history and what happens know. I hope you enjoy.

Air force
Hey have you ever wondered what they did in the air force? Well I'm here to tell you. Strap in your seatbelt we are taking off to the history of the NZ air force.

For a while the NZ air force flew apart of the British Royal Flying Corps, while they joined the British Royal Flying Corps they had 24 victories. Then the government wanted to make two private training schools for men to become pilots.

In 1916 sir Henry Wigram established the Canterbury. Company at Sockburn, from Britain for pilot training.  the government for defence purposes. At the end of the war many new Zealand pilots stayed with the new Royal Air Force.

In 1920 a lady called Amelia Earhart was the first girl to fly a plane. She encouraged other lady’s to do this. Sadly she went missing July 2 1937 age 39. She made women realise that they can do what men can and that they are stronger than what other people think and this is how women were involved in the air force.

What they do know
I have talked about the history but what about what happens know. The Defence White Paper 2016 provides the foundation for New Zealand’s security now and into the future which increases instability and uncertainty. Did you know defense is the key of the New Zealand's broader security system.

Conclusion
I think that when they flew apart of the british air force and had 24 victory I really think that is impressive. If you want to learn more click here.

This is all I have for know I hoped you were interested at what I had to say. Here is a fun fact the nz air force has been going for 104 years, I really had fun sharing the history with you. Stay awesome.

The Present

W.A.L.T:  Write a narrative

Success Criteria
I know I will be successful when….

  • The title is suitable for the text.
  • The orientation tells who the story is about, and when and where the story happened.
  • The complication describes a problem and explains what happened next.
  • The resolution explains how the problem was solved.
  • Seeks feedback and makes changes to texts to improve clarity and meaning.

In Ako Ngatahi we had to write a narrative about a video. It was about a boy opening a present that was a dog with three legs. Here is the video of the present. I hope you enjoy my story.

The Present
It was the weekend which means my mum would go on a shopping spree, she was wearing a white T-shirt and some jeans she looked very lovely. She went out when she was gone all I did was
play video games on my xbox 360 at home. Then my Mum came home she had a box I thought to myself “Could it be a xbox one for me?” She opened the blinds, it was so bright.

“Mum, shut the blinds it hurts my eyes and I am trying to play my game”.
Then the box moved and a puppy jumped out. It was cute, he was blonde. But there was one thing that let me down he only had three legs. He wanted to play with me but I rejected him. “I can’t believe mum brought me a puppy with one leg missing just because I have one leg missing too”. I went back to playing my Xbox.

Wait, look at him, he is so cute. No, remember he only has three legs. Wait, look at him being silly and being clumsy, he keeps falling over his three legs and we do have something in common we both have a leg missing
“I accept you because I am like you too we are going to be great friends” I said. I hope I will be a great owner and we can stay best friends forever,
so he grabbed a red ball and I got my crutches and we played outside. I said “I will call you Mischief, my twin”.

Sports day

Sports day

Today at Hornby Primary school the year 6 and 5 had a sports day. To celebrate the first day of spring we had lots of fun and lots of activities like. (Netball) We had hopes at different lathes so some close and some far and we had to shot it was hard. (Basketball) We had two teams at different sides of the hope and we had two get it in at different stages. (Gutter ball) We had a triangle box in the middle and tennis balls we had to hit the triangle box and it would come back to us and if you catch it you have to move back. (Tennis) It was just like regular tennis. (Volley ball) It was hard when I severed I had a red mark but it was fun.

(Dodge ball) We had the Two people who were in and whoever hits you become the person in. In these activities we had two show values and these are all them. Honesty, Invalidity, Excellent, Kindness, Respect and
Self management. Here is a video enjoy.
